You must read thoroughly all information contained herein, and fill out the application form, attach the appropriate application processing fee, and send it to Judith River Dinosaur Institute. Note that each week is limited to 16 persons so space is limited! Don't wait too long or we will fill up and you will miss out on a great opportunity. The two weeks for next year will involve excavations of exciting new sauropod and stegosaurus finds - a truly rare and unique experience! Weeks one and two are planned for the "Little Snowy Mountains Dinosaur Project 2013" near Billings, Montana. Don't be intimidated if you are serious about science and paleontology and willing to learn and do the hard and sometimes tedious work required to participate. We are quite willing to train you, but please do consider that this is for the serious individual and not just the casual vacationer. Work is hard, intense and tedious, and hot and dusty. You must be dedicated to learning and following instruction. However, there is still room for you even if you are not, as long as you are serious about learning and willing to follow the direction of staff as they train you in the proper techniques.
The fee for weeks 1 and 2 - the "Little Snowy Mountains Dinosaur Project 2013" is $1,695.00 per person - meals included. A deposit of $847.50 for the Little Snowy Mountains Dinosaur Project is required to apply for acceptance on "Little Snowy Mountains Dinosaur Project 2013" (successful applicants will be informed by e-mail or phone). Remaining balance of $847.50 is due no later than two weeks prior to arrival. Make checks payable to "Judith River Dinosaur Institute." Refund Policy In the event that you are unable to participate, the $847.50 deposit is refundable only if notification is received no less than 90 days prior to the applied for start date. No refund of the deposit will be payable if notification received within 90 days of the applied for start date. Refunds are not transferable. If "Little Snowy Mountains Dinosaur Project 2013" is canceled by the Institute, a full refund will be issued less a $100 cancellation fee. What is included with your $1,695 fee for the “Little Snowy Mountains Dinosaur Project 2013"? This program will be camp-out digs - no motels - and will offer a true Montana outdoor experience. Tuition includes all food and beverages (no alcoholic beverages) while we are at camp. Participants must bring their own tents, sleeping bags and personal effects. All excavation materials will be provided. We will help coordinate the rendezvous point and ground transportation (shared participant cost) from and to Billings, MT.
